It was a fantastic evening for the yard at Wolverhampton on Tuesday evening. It started off well with Log Off in the first race. Having won well at Southwell a few runs ago she looked to have lost her way but the drop back in trip and a good ride from Hector Crouch saw her storm home to dead heat for first place. Next up was Sheer Intensity - she ran yet another solid race to finish 3rd and although still a maiden she never seems to do much wrong and will surely win a little race somewhere.
What made the night was the yard favourite Athassel. He had nothing to prove having won six races for us on the all-weather this winter and securing the 'most winning horse' prize at the all weather finals. But despite his busy campaign and rapid rise of his handicap mark he managed to secure yet another decisive victory under our apprentice Kathy Glenister to win by a cosy half a length. This was his 7th win since the end of December! He continues to amaze us and there looks like there might still be more to come from him!
